Enrique Vasquez
NEW InsideOut Art Show Participating Artist, 2017!
As the 2017 InsideOut Art Show was coming together, our art show planning team got wonderful and surprising news: At the last moment, several other participants in the California Institution for Men’s art program had decided to donate miniature pieces.
Enrique Vazquez is one of those artists, and we are grateful to him for contributing three miniature paintings. One, a small dog, is painted with acrylic on 4”x5.5” canvas, with a popsicle-stick easel attached to allow desktop display. The other two miniatures – the same small dog; and a tiny surfer on a moonlit ocean at night – are created using acrylic on playing cards, also mounted on popsicle-stick easels. The artists are eager to help UrbanMission Community Partners to raise awareness and raise funds to support the creativity and transformation taking place when incarcerated people do art. We thank them! |
